History of BRAGARD
BRAGARD : Serving the professional for 79 years 1933 : Henri Bragard created his own company in the heart of the Vosges mountains in Eastern France. At that time, the professional clothing industry was the poor relation of the clothing industry in general. Workers and craftsmen had to content themselves with outfits that were unexciting or impractical. It was time for change. The first designs were made for painters and plasterers. Encouraged by the results of his own sales, Henri Bragard went on to design aprons with a wide shoulder strap for butchers, known as the 'Parisian apron'. This soon became the symbol of the profession. |
